Baling press with actuating device for a sealing door

The invention relates to a baling press having a pressing plate which operates in a vertical direction and an actuating device for a sealing door which optionally opens or closes an aperture in the press casing. The object of the invention is the further development of a baling press such that a sealing door can be controlled in dependence on the position of the pressing plate. The invention is characterised in that the sealing door takes the form of a vertically movable sealing slide which is connected to a bolt which engages in the path of motion of the pressing plate and can be brought to rest on that side of the pressing plate which is not acted upon by the material to be pressed. This ensures that the sealing door is closed during the operation of the pressing plate.
