Fish-processing machine

The machine is primarily intended for use on board relatively small fishing vessels. The machine contains two synchronously running, cyclically operating conveyors (1, 4) which are provided with fish troughs (2, 5). There are arranged along the conveyor (1) one behind the other in the direction of transport the following: apparatus for displacing the fish into the position in which their heads are removed, circular knife (15) for removing the heads from the fish, apparatus (16) for severing the fish gut and apparatus (17) for removing the innards from the fish body cavity and an apparatus for displacing the fish into the position in which the tail fins are severed and a circular knife (18) for severing the latter. To permit the processing of fish which vary greatly in size and type, the machine is equipped with an apparatus (14) for measuring the height of the fish and for displacing the fish into the position in which their heads are removed. <IMAGE>
