In an apparatus for liquid take-off from tanks or the like, the float-borne mouthpiece of an articulated inlet pipe following the liquid surface, to achieve a uniform take-off, is formed in such a way that its inlet edge, even in the lowest position of the inlet pipe, is still higher than the upper edge of the pipe cross-section and forms an overflow weir which, in combination with a bottom surface of the mouthpiece, angled upwards with respect to the pipe axis, ensures shooting flow of the outflowing water.
