The rack is provided with a rear wall panel (2) which supports the rear-wall plugs (3) for electrical interconnection of the assemblies (1). It has two rows of rear wall plugs (3) between which there is a free gap. The rear wall plugs (3) are arranged one above the other in pairs, in an aligned manner. The assemblies (1) extend over the entire height of the mounting rack and are in each case provided with one pair of aligned mating plugs (6), one above the other. A central additional supporting rail, to which the rear wall (2) is additionally screwed, is arranged between the two rows of rear wall plugs (3) and mating plugs (6) on the rear side of the mounting rack. This makes the rear wall (2) mechanically robust so that it can absorb very high insertion forces of the double-sided assemblies (1). <IMAGE>
