The invention proposes a skin clip and a device for applying such a clip, the skin clip being bow-shaped with adjoining arms extending outwards and inwards, and the clip application device being provided with claws which can be moved toward one another and away from one another and are provided in adjacent inner surfaces with depressions dimensioned such that they receive a single clip, means being provided for transferring the front clip of a stack of clips present in the application device into the depressions of the claws.
