In a fastening for bridge beams on girders of steel bridges, with a bolt which is provided with a thread on at least one side and which, in the region of intersection between bridge beam and girder, extends through a continuous bore in the bridge beam and is supported with its one end on the girder and with its other end on the bridge beam, and which can be tightened via a nut screwed onto the thread, it is envisaged, for producing a technically constructed novel design which is cheap to manufacture and maintains the tension, that the continuous bore (6) for the bolt (5) extends vertically through the bridge beam (1) and the bolt (5) is supported directly on the bridge beam (1) and/or the girder (4) via a tensioning member (8 or 17). <IMAGE>
