The subject matter relates to the cover for a gear rim in which two drive pinions movable independently of one another engage. The first pinion swivels the superstructure of an excavator, whereas the second pinion swivels a discharge belt fastened to the superstructure of an excavator. A side cover firmly attached to the superstructure is arranged for the first pinion, whereas the remaining part of the gear rim is covered by means of a band-shaped cover.
