The invention relates to a device for differential flow measurement. The object of measuring a differential flow arises, for example, when a consumer is being supplied with more liquid than it requires and when direct measurement at the actual consumer is impossible. The difference then gives the effective consumption. The fuel consumption of motor vehicles can serve as an example of this. In order now to measure the inward and outward flows with the same measurement transmitter, the latter is periodically switched into the inward and outward flows by suitable means. <IMAGE>
