PURPOSE:To manufacture a leader tape having a rust preventing effect, by applying a volatile corrosion inhibitor on at least one surface of a supporting body. CONSTITUTION:An organic compound containing a nitrogen atom and 1-12 carbon numbers, or its derivative is used as a volatile corrosion inhibitor. Said volatile corrosion inhibitor can be used singly and also jointly, and can be used together with other corrosion inhibitor such as phosphoric acid, sulphamide, guanidine, etc. Also, they can be used together with alkali. The volatile corrosion inhibitor is applied on a supporting body by itself or by combining it with other component. As for other component, a pigment, an antistatic agent, high polymer powder, a polishing agent, ferromagnetic powder, etc. are used. The supporting agent on which the volatile corrosion inhibitor is applied is a usual nonmagnetic flexible base, and as the case may be, at least one of its surfaces is made rough by means of such treatment as sand-blasting and chemical etching. In this way, a tape which causes no rust can be manufactured. |
