PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a rotary electric machine by forming the flange of a bracket of a thick steel plate and disposing the field core of a stator for an AC exciter at the bore side, thereby reducing the number of parts. CONSTITUTION:The flange 21 of a bracket of a synchronous machine is formed of a thick steel plate by gas cutting or electrospark machining, slots 21c are respectively formed at the bore side between a field core 21a and respective poles 21b, and a field coil 14 is wound. Thus, the bore side of the thick steel plate of the flange can be used also as the field core of a stator for an AC exciter. Accordingly, the number of parts can be reduced, and the laminated layers of the core plates can be eliminated. Thus, the assembling work can be simplified, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost of the bracket. |
