An electric lantern has a box- structure body (1) to receive a battery (10) and an electric light (13) to be connected to the battery. The box structure body is formed from an erectable carton (viz a fold-flat structure). In one embodiment, the carton (1) has a flap (5) cut in one side wall, which flap can pivot inwardly to provide a support for a bulb (13) and at the same time form part of a gravity switch which can switch off the lantern when it is moved away from its normal upright disposition. <IMAGE> |
