PURPOSE:To augment the dielectric strength by a method wherein, when the cooling pipe making use of the cryostat adopting the ultra critical He as a refrigerant and the power lead are connected with each other through the intermediary of an insulating spacer, the projected heights of the respective inside surface ruggedness of said pipe and lead are specified not to exceed 0.5mum. CONSTITUTION:A superconductive magnet 2 is contained in a cryostat 1 and a hollow power lead 3 and a cooling pipe 4 are connected with each other through the intermediary of the similarily hollow insulating spacer 5. In such a constitution, the projected height of the surface ruggedness of the inside surfaces of 8 and 9 of said lead 3 and pipe 4 are finished not to exceed 0.5mum to augment the dielectric strength. Through the procedures, the deterioration of the dielectric strength due to the excessive projected height of 1-10mum may be avoided by means of reducing said height to augment the dielectric strength in He. |
