PURPOSE:To inject liquid crystal which does not contain water without exerting any evil influence upon the liquid crystal by sticking the liquid crystal to a holding tool made of stainless steel, aluminum, or their alloy, and thus injecting the liquid crystal into an empty cell. CONSTITUTION:A vacuum device 9 wherein an empty cell 1, a boat 4 filled with liquid crystal 3, and a holdint tool 5 supported by a holder 6 are installed is evacuated, and the liquid crystal 3 in the boat 4 is placed in a bumping state to remove water. The holding tool 5 is dipped in the liquid crystal 3 by lowering the holder 6 to stick a certain amount of the liquid crystal 3 to the holding tool 5, and the liquid crystal is supplied to an injection opening 2. The inside of the vacuum device 9 is returned to the atmospheric pressure to inject the liquid crystal covering the injection opening 2 into the empty cell 1. The holding tool 5 is made of a capillary, a bar, a mesh wire, etc., and said material is selected to reduce evil influence upon the liquid crystal to the extent as mush as the quartz. |
