PURPOSE:To produce the swirling combustion in a combustion furnace to completely burn fuel such as refuse tyre or the like by a method wherein high pressure air preheated by passing a jacket is pressure-fed toward the direction close to tangent to the inner wall of the jacket. CONSTITUTION:The pressurized air is blown from a pressurized air blowing-off port 8 into a space 3, which is formed between the outer wall 2 of the combustion furnace A and the outer wall 4 of the combustion chamber, and past through blast pipes 7 to be ignited and burnt in the combustion furnace A. At this time, because a large number of the blast pipes 7 are fitted to the inner wall 1 of jacket of the cylindrical combustion furnace A with the direction tangent to the wall 1 and open to the interior of the furnace at their points of contact with the wall 1, the pressurized air blown out of the blast pipes 7 tends to swirl within the cylindrical combustion furnace A and keeps swirling within the furnace A while traveling from the point, at which the pressurized air causes to start burning of tyres or the like, to a heat exchanger. Because the combustion along a long distance or for a long time is realized in such a manner as mentioned above, the complete combustion of tyres or the like can be promoted and the causes of environmental pollution such as black smoke, offensive odor and the like produced in company with the burning of tyres of the like can be completely prevented. |
