<p>PURPOSE:To prevent printing quality from being lowered, by arranging LED array chips in an LED arranging direction to form a plurality of chip rows so that the intervals of intersecting lines extended from all LEDs in a direction intersecting with the LED arranging direction are made equal. CONSTITUTION:An LED array head comprises a plurality of LED array chips 10, 20 arranged respectively on a pair of parallel lines A, B to form chip rows 1, 2. The LED array chips 10, 20 are so arranged that the distance l2, measured in the row direction, between an LED 12 provided at an end part of the LED array chip on one side and an LED 22 provided at an end part of the LED array chip 20 on the other side is equal to the distance l1 between adjacent ones of the LEDs 12, 22. With this arrangement, the intervals of intersecting lines extended from all of the LEDs 12, 22 in a direction intersecting with the LED arranging direction are equal. Since the distance between arbitrary adjacent ones of the LEDS measured in the LED arranging direction, is constant, printing quality can be prevented from being lowered.</p> |
