<p>PURPOSE:To deflect work rolls to proper states in accordance with rolling conditions by specifying the displacing mechanisms for the divided backup rolls which adjust the deflections of the work rolls or intermediate rolls deviated in the rolling direction. CONSTITUTION:Rolling mills consist of upper, lower work rolls, upper, lower backup rolls, intermediate rolls 5, divided backup rolls 10, and lateral intermediate rolls 11. The rolls 2 are deviated by a prescribed distance toward the right of the figure in the rolling material flowing dirction and bearing members 14 are provided at the intermediate of plural pieces of the rolls 12 of the rolls 10 and both end of the rolls 10. Fluid pressure cylinders 18 moving the members 14 toward the rolls 2 and sensors 21 detecting the positions and/or pressures of the pistons thereof are provided to each of the members 14. In the stage of controlling the shape of a rolling material, the pressing forces of the rolls 11 with the rolls 10 are regulated respectively by the cylinders 18, and the deflection states of the rolls 2 are detected with the sensor 21, so that the oil pressures of the cylinders 18 are regulated by these.</p> |
