PURPOSE:To simplify setting of the number of duplicating sheets in a sorter mode, by a method wherein the number of input duplicating sheets is compared with a set bin number nb of a sorter, and the number of the duplicating sheets is set to the nb in the case of nc>nb to nofify of it. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a sorter mode, if a print key is depressed, recording papers, ranging from a first recording paper to an na-th (ns<=nb) recording paper, are stowed in, in turn, from a first bin to an ns-th bin of the sorter during a period which elapses until a subsequent key is depressed. Then, the number nc of input duplicating sheets is displayed in a 2-column 7-segment display 25, but if the number of duplicating sheets set by an operator exceeds a sortable number nb, the number of the duplicating sheets is automatically set to the number nb. Alteration of the number of the duplicating sheets is displayed by lighting ON and OFF of the indication in the display 25, and duplication for nb sheets starts in response to a turning-ON of a print key. |
