PURPOSE:To reduce the quantity of smoke, by providing a plurality of small- diameter passage with auxiliary injection ports opened in the direction of injection by a fuel injection valve, to promote the heating and evaporation of fuel to be supplied into a main chamber. CONSTITUTION:A swirl chamber 1 communicates with a main chamber 6 through a main injection port 4 and auxiliary ports 5 provided on a plurality of passages 5A of small diameter. Since most of liquid fuel flowing into the main chamber 6 through the auxiliary injection ports 5 during ignition lag time is heated by the surface of the passages 5A, the evaporation or atomization of the heated fuel is promoted so that the fuel from the auxiliary injection ports 5 is quickly mixed with air also in the main chamber 6. |
