PURPOSE:To enable an internal combustion engine ignition device composed of current breaking system combined with capacity discharge system to be made small in size by using a transistor type inverter for a circuit of capacity discharge system and controlling its base bias to put said circuit in ON-OFF action. CONSTITUTION:When output voltage 6E from a signal circuit 6 is sent out in response to the rate of engine rotation, the voltage is at low level in a range of rotational speed below N, a transistor 55 is deenergized and transistors 52a, 52b for inverter use are both put in operation. In a range of rotational speed above N, the voltage nises to the high level and the transistor 55 is energized to ground a base of the transistor 52b and the operation of inverting is stopped. Accordingly, capacity discharge energy is added in the range of rotational speed below N, and current breaking type energy is the only active energy in the range above N. Thus, a capacity discharging type ignition circuit 5 is put in ON-OFF action by means of transistors 52a, 52b themselves for inverter use as mentioned above, mone of switch with a big capacity is required and the ignition device can be reduced in size. |
