PURPOSE:To provide a manufacturing method of a molecular pump for vacuum evacuation by rolling a sheet having required number of parallel grooves in required shape on its one face into a cylindrical shape and matching and bonding the ends of such sheet. CONSTITUTION:A long sheet 9 having a required number of straight grooves 2a in required cross sectional shape formed in parallel in longitudinal direction on its face is prepared and cut along lines B-B and B'-B' parallel to each other and crossing said grooves 2a at an angle. The cut piece is then rolled in cylindrical form with its center axis perpendicular to the lines B-B and B'-B' and the grooved surface facing inward. As the edges B-B' of the cut piece match each other when such piece is rolled into a cylindrical form, the edge is then welded to complete a cylinder 2. |
