This invention consists of ferromagnetic grinding material which contains a ferromagnetic component and a grinding component and a method for manufacturing it, where the grinding material is characterized by the ferromagnetic component consisting of an alloy of iron, aluminium, silicon, phosphorus and carbon, while the grinding component contains oxides, carbides, nitrides, phosphides of aluminium and silicon, where the components are included in the product in the following concentrations and weight percentages: Iron 75-97 Aluminium 0.2-16 Silicon 0.2-18 Phosphorus 0.005-1.5 Carbon 0.005-4 Oxygen 0.05-3 Nitrogen 0.01-0.5 E.g.: oxides, carbides, nitrides and phosphides 0.01-5 |
