<p>The active compound 1-ethyl-2-(2'-methoxy-5'-sulphonamidobenzoyl)- aminomethylpyrrolidine is obtained by reacting the corresponding 2'-chloro compound with a metal methoxide, the chlorinated starting material being formed for its part by reaction of a functional derivative of 2-chloro-5-sulphonamidobenzoic acid with 1-ethyl-2-aminomethylpyrrolidine. The active compound has gastric ulcer-inhibiting and psychotropic action.</p>
