PURPOSE:To obtain accurate reproduction for desired still picture at all times, by locating a reference signal to a specific position of the 1st vertical blanking erasing period of an edited TV signal and switching a reference signal at the position. CONSTITUTION:In recording an edited TV signal on a rotating recording medium Da, a specific part of a recording position of a vertical blanking erasing period located just before a video signal of the 1st field period of the first frame of the edited TV signal is located at the recording position of a reference signal fp3 of the rotating phase of the recording medium. At the recording position of the reference signal fp3, reference signals fp1 and fp2 for the 1st and 2nd tracking control to be recorded on the rotating recording medium are switched. Thus, in case of still mode, a reproduction signal to obtain the still picture with the TV signal of one program can be obtained without fail. |
