PURPOSE:To stabilize the quality of articles to be heat-treated and to improve heat treatment performance in the stage of tempering steel products in a continuous heat treatment furnace by controlling the tempering by the temps. in the heating zone and soaking zone in the treatment furnaces. CONSTITUTION:In the stage of tempering the steel products hardened in a continuous heating furnace, the data on the sizes and heating temps. of the steel products, the pitches of drawing out from the heating furnaces, etc. are beforehand applied to an arithmetic device 50, whereby the heat patterns and cumulative tempering parameters of a heating furnace 10 are determined beforehand. The furnace temp. indicating signals in accordance with the patterns are applied to a controller 30, and the temps. of the 1st and 2nd heating zones 11, 12 and the soaking zone 13 of the furnace 10 are controlled by the outputs thereof. In this case, the temps. of the steel products are estimated from the temp. values detected by the thermometers 14, 11a-11c, 12a-12c, 13a-13c at the respective zoness of the inlet side of the furnace and the thermometer 15 on the outlet side of the furnace, and from these temp. and the stagnation time in the furnace, the cumulative tempering parameters are connectively operated, whereby the steel products are annealed efficiently with constant quality. |
