发明名称 MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE:To elevate the adhesion strength between a magnetic film and a base, and also to elevate the abrasion resistance and durability, by forming a resin film containing a granular body of a nonmagnetic substance whose Mors' hardness exceeds a specific value, on the base, and providing a ferromagnetic metallic (alloy) magnetic film on said resin film. CONSTITUTION:A coating film containing a granular body 3 in a resin film is formed on a base 1 such as a polyester base film, etc., by applying and drying a coating material which has dispersed a nonmagnetic substance 3 such as Cr2O3, Al2O3, etc. of 0.1-1mu, consisting of a granular body (the ratio of a long axis/ a short axis is <=2) whose Mohs' hardness is >=5, into a solution of butylal resin, etc. 2 having a functional group which has affinity with the base 1. On the film 2, a magnetic film 4 is formed by means of vapor deposition of a metal such as Co, Ni, Fe, etc., or their alloy, etc. In this way, the adhesion force between the magnetic layer 4 and the base 1 is elevated due to existence of the film 2, and even if the layer 4 is worn out, further abrasion is suppressed by the granular body 3, and the durability of a magnetic recording medium is elevated without dropping its electromagnetic characteristic.
