<p>Device effects continuous detection of moisture in running textile webs. It comprises a working circuit to control, e.g. a drier, and includes a probe in the form of a rotary cylinder comg into contact with the textile product, and turning at a suitable peripheral speed. The cylinder has a succession of conductive zones sepd. by insulating zones. The conductive zones are distributed between several groups connected to the working circuit, which measures the electrical resistance to the product between the groups and provides a signal corresp. to the humidity of the product. Method does not spoil the product by crushing or other deformation. Device is designed partic. to monitor continuous textile prod., e.g. tubular knitwear, leaving a drier, and provides sufficiently precise control of the drier from the measurement obtd.</p> |
