<p>Panels for lining cladding for cast concrete structures comprise a single core layer of solid timber up to 10 mm thick covered on both faces with at least one layer of resin impregnated paper laminated by hot pressing. Pref. the core timber is 2-6 mm thick. Pref. the covers each comprise two layers of paper impregnated with phenolic, amino, acrylic or polyester resin, laid up with the grain of the paper at right angles to the grain of the timber core. The grain of the core may lie along or across the panel axis. Used for (removable) linings to produce a high surface finish ready for painting. Compared with conventional linings having cores of particle board or multiple layer ply wood, less timber is wasted and fewer plane surfaces have to be prepd. when using a one-piece core. Eliminates use of ancillary adhesives in the core.</p> |
