<p>The liquid container includes a reservoir and a tank attached to the reservoir, and linked to it by a pipe. The tank is also attached to the reservoir by an air pipe which rejoins the reservoir above its liquid level. The pipe also has a funnel attached to it for refilling the reservoir. During refilling, the air in the tank is expelled via the air pipe, the operator being able to tell when the reservoir is full by seeing liquid discharging from the pipe. The level of liquid in the tank remains constant in spite of varying levels in the reservoir, since it is determined only by the position of the lower end of the air pipe. This may be adjusted as required. It is intended that this should provide a constant head for a constant flow for feeding animals, e.g. birds or for watering plants.</p> |
