PURPOSE:To increase utilizing efficiency without useless processing, by reporting the transfer between on-line state and off-line state of an input and output device to a central processor automatically. CONSTITUTION:A computer system consists of a central processor 1, input and output devices 5a, 5b and 5c and a channel device 4 connecting them mutually. The channel device 4 is provided with a state detection section 7, the state transfer of the input and output devices is detected and reported to the central processor 1. Thus, the central processor 1.
