THE USE OF PHLORETIN FOR ANTI-ACNE AND ANTI-INFLAMMATORY

The present invention relates to an action mechanism on a mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPK) signal transduction pathway in an IFN--stimulated cell of phloretin. In detail, the present invention relates to a composition for treating acne and an inflammatory disease, containing phloretin for suppressing MAPK signal transduction pathway, and a cosmetic composition containing phloretin for preventing photoaging of a skin as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, phloretin is capable of suppressing MAPK expression in an IFN--stimulated cell, thereby having effects of anti-inflammatory and acne improvement based on the mechanism described above and various skin disease treatment and prevention through a skin protection function.
