The nacelle (1) or pod of a wind turbine (100) set on top of a tower (102) or mast, has a pod casing 2, 4 which is self-supporting and has a rotating part 4 which carries the rotor blade 56 of the aerodynamic rotor 106 and the rotor member 50 of the generator of the turbine, and a stationary part 2 carrying the stator 48 of the generator. The rotating part 4 of the pod is mounted on the stationary part 2 rotatably about a horizontal axis by means of a rear bearing 70 adjacent a rear region of the rotating part 4 and a front bearing 72 adjacent a front region of the rotation part 4. |
