PURPOSE:To detect the abnormal temperature rise of a high-voltage conductor outside of a metallic airtight container from variation in oscillation frequency, by providing a gas insulating apparatus with an oscillator whose oscillation frequency varies with temperature. CONSTITUTION:In an oscillator 7 formed in a tuning fork shape, a hollow vacuum part 7a is formed. At the base end part side of the vacuum part 7a, a liquid such as mercury whose volume varies with temperature is sealed. Therefor, as temperature rises, mercury 8 in the oscillation part 7b of an oscillator 7 increases in volume to vary in natural oscillation frequency. This oscillator 7 is arranged at a high-voltage conductor installed in a metallic airtight container and impact is applied externally to detect the oscillation frequency of the oscillator 7, thus knowing the temperature of the high-voltage conductor. |
