A control circuit for a transistor, the primary winding of a transformer being connected in series with the collector-emitter junction of the transistor, the secondary winding of which transformer is connected transversely with respect to the base-emitter junction of the transistor, and a control winding being provided which is either an additional winding of the transformer or a primary winding of a second transformer whose secondary winding is connected transversely with respect to the base-emitter junction of the transistor.
