PURPOSE:To improve the starting characteristics of an electronically controlled hydraulic type timer in a hydraulic type fuel injection timing adjuster having a hydraulic system connected to an electromagnetic valve, by allowing an electric current to pass through the electromagnetic valve at least before the starting of the engine. CONSTITUTION:The electromagnetic valve 8 is arranged for controlling the electronically controlled hydraulic type timer. Prior to the starting of the engine, when a warming-up terminal 10a is changed-over, an electric current is allowed to flow to a coil 8d to heat it so that the electromagnetic valve 8 is heated. The oil is delivered via the electromagnetic valve 8 to the electronically controlled hydraulic type timer that receives the heat. Therefore, at the time of starting when it is cold, the contolling characteristics of the electronically controlled hydraulic type timer can be improved, and appropriate adjustment of injection timing from the starting becomes possible. |
