PURPOSE:To easily obtain a clad plate from a molten metal by forming a clad plate stock by cladding the metal plate formed continuously by a strip caster by overlapping it as it is. CONSTITUTION:A pair of cooling rolls are rotated in the arrow mark A direction on each strip caster 12, 14, 16 and the molten steel inside a molten steel storage 22 is dropped in succession. The molten steel is solidified by being rapidly cooled among the cooling rollers to form a strip. A nitrogen gas is blown from an inert gas nozzle 26 to the strip, the surface of the strip is cooled, the steel stock is then heated by a high frequency heating machine and heated as well so that the sectional temp. becomes uniform. The strip, is succession, is overlapped by being transferred to a pair of press-fitting rolls 30 and cladded as well. It is then transferred to a welding belt 34, each steel plate is welded each other by continuously repeating the heating with a high frequency heating machine 42 and the pressurization with a pressurizing roll 44 and a clad steel plate is obtd.
