The hearing aid comprises an audio frequency amplifier input connected to an audio signal source, with the output linked to an electro-acoustic transducer. The connection to the audio frequency amplifier (20) incorporates a selector switch (24) for connection of a microphone (26), a high frequency receiver (28), and an opto-electronic transducer (30) as the audio signal source. The selector switch also contains a switch for the current supply incorporated in the hearing aid. The audio signal source and the audio frequency amplifier may be incorporated in a tobacco smoking pipe, the electro-acoustic transducer being incorporated in the pipe mouthpiece for transmission via the teeth of the user. The transducer with the audio frequency amplifier are coupled by a plug connector, whose one part lies in the mouthpiece and the other one in the stem of the pipe, which also contains the actuator for the selector switch.
