The invention relates to a device for closing the circuit of brake lights for motor vehicles. The essential feature of the invention is that the inertia of an inert mass at the moment of deceleration is to be used as a switching element, the intention being to exclude external influences acting on the vehicle, such as different degrees of slope of the road, vibration, different load state and the like. The invention achieves this object by means of a special movement dynamics switch whose switching elements are mounted in such a way that the previously mentioned external influences only slightly change, or do not change at all, the response characteristic of the switch. <IMAGE>
