PURPOSE:To protect the outer surface of a guide vane stem from damages, by fitting the guide vane stem in a unitary manner by interposing a torque transmitting means between the guide vane stem and the control lever of a water turbine. CONSTITUTION:When compressive force is applied by a torque transmitting means 3, a sleeve 11 is compressed into the form of a sleeve 11' and the gap A at the split part of the sleeve 11 is reduced. However, since some gap still remains at the split part of the sleeve 11', it is held in uniform contact with the entire outer surface of a guide vane stem 4, so that the pressure acted to the contact surface S1' is also rendered uniform. Therefore, if an excessive torque is acted to the guide vane stem 4 and slippage is caused at the contact surface S1', scuffing is not caused on the inner surface of the sleeve 11' and the outer surface of the guide vane stem 4. |
