The invention relates to a process for preparing methyl esters of omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids from refined bear oil. According to the invention, the process consists in the fact that a mixture of methyl alcohol and refined bear oil is heated, while stirring, up to a temperature of 60°C, after which there is added 1% sulphuric acid in 30 % methanol solution, the reaction mass is cooled down to 50°C and there is added 1% sodium hydroxide in methanol solution, it is stirred continuously for 3 h at a temperature of 50°C, further on it is separated into the lower layer which contains glycerin and the upper layer which contains fatty acid methyl esters which, further on, are processed by diluting, drying and crystallizing, wherefrom there results an oil with a relative density of 1.89 and a refraction index of 1.49. |
