PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption while stabilizing the operation by arranging a coil frame having a step section and a retaining section partially in the inner diameter thereof and an iron core section adapted to position the coil engaging it on a wire dot type printing head. CONSTITUTION:In a wire dot type printing head designed to drive a wire with an electromagnet, a step section 141 and a retaining section 142 are provided on a coil frame 14 wound with a coil 15 and an iron section 11 adapted to position the coil frame 14 engaging the step section 141 and a mobile core 13 adapted to be selectively attracted to the core section are provided with in the coil frame 14. In addition, a wire support member 16 which imparts a wire 18 an impact force when the mobile core 13 is attracted to the core section 11 is provided connected to the mobile core while a spring member 20 is provided to separate the mobile core 13 from the core section 11 while the mobile core 13 is not attracted. |
