PURPOSE:To improve the starting properties, by a fuel injection timing controlling apparatus of a diesel engine wherein when the engine is started, based upon the period from the cranking to the first explosion the fuel injection timings is automatically controlled. CONSTITUTION:The diesel engine 1 is equipped with a rotation sensor 2 and a rotation phase angle sensor 4. A central processing unit 8 counts a starting period T0 from a cranking start time t0 to the first explosion time t1, selects a starting timing pattern optimum to a successive explosion period T stored in a memory 9, and controls a hydraulic pressure control valve 12. The hydraulic pressure control valve 12 controls the phase difference between the rotation of a timing gear 13 and the rotation of a fuel injection pump 3. Thus, when it is cold, the starting of diesel engine can be effectively carried out. |
