PURPOSE:To grind a ring in accordance with shape of a groove provided in the periphery of a grindstone, by holding the ring between at least two grindstones and rotating the grindstones reversely to each other. CONSTITUTION:Annular grooves 7, 14 are formed in the periphery of grindstones 1, 8, and the two grindstones 1, 8 are rotated while holding a ring 15 to grind internal and external surfaces of the ring 15 to sectional shape of the grooves 7, 14. In this way, the ring of optional shape in its section can be ground by a forming grindstone. |
