The invention relates to the secure axial fastening of a machine element, in particular roller-contact-bearing race, on a shaft or in the housing under axial prestress with the aid of a tubular ring which bears, on one side, in a groove and, on the other side, on the side surface of the element to be fastened. The secure axial fastening is achieved in that, with an axial oversize, the slotted approximately S-shaped ring comes to bear, by means of its end surface, in an axial annular cutout on the element to be fastened. The intended result is that, even in the event of very high axial prestresses, no radial forces or overturning moments are exerted on the element to be fastened. <IMAGE> |
