The invention relates to an audio-tape cassette with two winding hubs (4, 5), onto which the audio tape (13), led past the magnetic head on the audio tape-deck equipment, can be wound up by unwinding from what is respectively the other winding hub to form a roll of tape. For keeping the audio tape (13) taut, on the outside of each roll of tape (11, 12) there acts a spring element (21) with a spring force directed radially inwards towards the associated winding hub (4, 5). <IMAGE>
