PURPOSE:To provide a heat sensitive recording material applying a laser beam or the like which excels in the transfer efficiency and picture reproducibility with a possibility of a low output recording and provides negative and positive images with less limit to material to be recorded by providing a layer subjected to oxidation during the recording adjacent to a heat-sensitive recording layer. CONSTITUTION:Self-oxidizing material such as nitrocellulose dissolved in a solvent in ethylacetate or the like is coated on a base material such as polyethylene terephthalate to form a layer subjected to oxidization during the recording. Then, a coating liquid containing a coloring material for a converting light to heat such as graphite, a thermoplastic particle such as vinylidene chloride-acrylonitryl copolymer, polyvinyl alcohol and the like is applied on the layer adjacent thereto and then, dried to form a heat-sensitive recording layer. Thus, an intended recording material is obtained. By performing recording with a laser beam condensed with a lens, the recording reveals that the curve 1 indicating the recording line width of the material is larger with higher sensitivity than the curve 2 of the conventional material. |
