A process for fixing toner images on a substrate which comprises measures for generating toner images from toner particles containing the following substances: a) from 10 to 60% by weight of a magnetic powder and from 90 to 40% by weight of a resin which cannot be heated dielectrically, in particular polystyrene, an acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer or a styrene-acrylic acid copolymer, b) from 1 to 60% by weight of a magnetic powder and from 99 to 40% by weight of a resin which can be heated dielectrically, in particular an epoxy resin, or c) from 1 to 10% by weight of carbon black and from 99 to 90% by weight of a resin, where all the resins used can be melted or softened at temperatures of from 90 to 160 DEG C, and for then subjecting the toner images to the action of an electric field having a field strength of 500 V/cm or more at a frequency of from 3 to 30,000 MHz.
