COOLER FOR CAR MOUNTED WITH HORIZONTALLY PLACED TYPE ENGINE

PURPOSE:To forcibly cool a radiator, by connecting through a diffuser a radiator air outlet and an inlet of a centrifugal fun connected to a crank shaft of a horizontal placed engine via means for transmitting rotational movement between parallel shafts. CONSTITUTION:The crank shaft 6 of the engine 2 horizontally placed in a car nose section 1 and a rotating shaft 5 of the centrifugal fun 4 are connected through a fun belt 5. The air outlet of the radiator 3 carries the diffuser that comprises an upper casing 10a extending from the upper edge of the air outlet to the rear of the fun 4 and a lower casing 10b extending from the radiator lower edge upwardly rearward toward the front of the fun 4 and then extending arcuately downward and gradually spaced away from the rotational surface of the fun with the end of the casing 10b just below the fun. Therefore even though the engine is horizontally placed, the radiator can be forcibly cooled without an electric motor.
