PURPOSE:To realize the copy of a desired region with a simple operation, by providing a charged region control means that applies the electric charge to the part corresponding to the copy desired region to a photoreceptor according to an indicator that indicates the region of an original to be copied. CONSTITUTION:An original platen 4 of an original 5 is set at the upper part, and a pointer 45 is attached opposite to the platen 4 to indicate the copy region of the original. An indicator 44 having such pointer 45 is set slidably. The electric charge is applied only to a region on the photoreceptor surface corresponding to the region of the original 5 indicated by the indicator 44. For this purpose, a corona charger 2 having a masking plate 204 which is freely opened and closed is set opposite to an aperture part 203 of a shielding plate of the charger 2 along with a circuit that supplies the high voltage to the charger 2 plus a driving circuit which opens and closes the plate 204 via an indicator 44. |
