<p>Hollow shaft members with orifices at different elevations throughout their heights are located in the heating flues of a coke oven battery. The shafts receive preheated gaseous combustion-supporting agents from the regenerators. Advantages include decreased midfeathers thickness, greater heating area, and having the possibility of rich-gas heating in which the flame is distributed over the whole height of the heating flue.</p> |
