<p>Air-cooled dry-type transformers or air-cooled inductances with at least one winding, arranged about the core and cast in a solidified cast mass, and axially running cooling channels between the windings and/or the winding and the core, in which at least one earthed, electrically conductive, non-magnetic screen (14), extending above the height of the winding, is arranged between at least in each case two windings and/or between the winding next to the core and the core, circumferentially surrounding, or virtually surrounding, the core. On at least one side, the screen is fastened to a compact cast-mass sleeve, allocated to a winding and bounding an air channel, or is cast into the cast mass, at least the inner side (air channel side) of the high-tension winding, if fitted, being provided with a screen (14).
